Vodafone Qatar hits 600k users

Vodafone Qatar has announced that it reached a total of 600,000 mobile customers on 30 September, up from 535,000 at end-June and 150,000 twelve months ago. The British-Qatari venture launched services in July 2009 as the first competitor to Qatar Telecom (Qtel). Qtel claimed 2.15 million mobile users at end-June 2010, up from 1.92 million year-on-year.
