UK mobile virtual network operator (MVNO) Lebara has announced that it is introducing pay-monthly services, with tariffs starting from GBP10 (USD15.83) per month. Lebara, which offers its services over the network of Vodafone UK, has said that all of its pay-monthly tariffs will include 2,000 on-net call minutes and text messages, while it will also offer 10MB mobile internet access per day until 1 November at no additional charge to celebrate the launch of the new offers. Tariffs on offer include: My Country, aimed at customers predominantly making international calls; UK Caller, for those calling mostly domestic numbers; and Combo, which is for subscribers looking for a combination of both domestic and international. All three tariffs come with an initial minimum term contract of just three months, which the operator said it was implementing following feedback from customers, after which it becomes a rolling one month contract, cancellable with one month’s notice. Commenting on the development, Yoganathan Ratheesan, Lebara’s CEO, said: ‘This is a significant move forward for Lebara, enabling us to grow our customer base and further cement our position as the global leader in delivering low cost international mobile services.’
