Bell Mobility has fought back at Quebec-based wireless newcomer Videotron by launching a Quebec-only unlimited local and long-distance mobile calling plan, reports The Globe & Mail. The new plan, announced yesterday, is available to customers bundling mobile service with other Bell Canada products such as broadband internet, fixed telephony and pay-TV. Bell’s move, mirroring Videotron’s discounted mobile bundles for existing TV, phone and broadband customers, is aimed at avoiding ceding wireless market share in the province the way it did with fixed home phone customers and high speed internet users, both of which cable-based Videotron has stolen in considerable numbers over the past few years.
