Videotron launches 120Mbps internet service

23 Sep 2010

Quebec-based quadruple-play cableco Videotron has launched its fastest broadband internet service yet, offering users download speeds of up to 120Mbps under the name ‘Ultimate Speed 120’, initially available in the Quebec City region only. Bundles featuring the new speeds will cost between CAD159.95 (USD155.85) and CAD229.95 per month, depending on the download limit chosen, with coverage of 80% of homes in Quebec City. The cableco plans to spread the 120Mbps footprint to the entire city by December. The service will eventually be offered in the Montreal region ‘within a year or two.’
