SingTel outlines FTTH tariffs

31 Aug 2010

SingTel has unveiled tariffs for its new fibre-to-the-home (FTTH) service, which will be available from September. According to local technology news site Techgoondu, the basic FTTH package will be priced at SGD85.90 (USD63.40) and will offer download speeds of 150Mbps, upload speeds of 75Mbps and an international link of 15Mbps. The premium tariff offers download speeds of 200Mbps (100Mbps upload, 25Mbps international) and costs from SGD95.90, depending on the IPTV bundle selected. The telco’s fastest service currently is rated at 100Mbps download, 10Mbps upload, and costs SGD86.90. Previously, international bandwidth was offered on a ‘best efforts’ basis, rather than the promised speeds under the new plans.
