Losses narrowed at HOL

25 Aug 2010

Greek broadband operator Hellas Online (HOL) has announced that its losses narrowed in the first six months of 2010, with net loss before tax falling to EUR18.4 million (USD23.2 million) from EUR24.3 million in the same period last year, as six-month EBITDA rose to EUR22.9 million from EUR2.8 million in 1H09. The firm said the results were boosted by the launch of bundled internet, fixed telephony and mobile services in partnership with minority shareholder Vodafone, which it claimed had yielded 45,000 HOL/Vodafone customers by end-June 2010, or around 13% of HOL’s broadband/fixed line subscriber base.
