SingTel, Huawei deploy IP core router – claim a first for the country

Singapore Telecommunications Ltd (SingTel) and Chinese equipment vendor Huawei Technologies have announced the successful commercial deployment of Singapore’s first IP core router clustering system. Huawei, a leading provider of next generation telecoms network solutions, has supplied and deployed its NE5000E 1+2 router cluster system in the converged IP backbone network to simultaneously carry a wide range of advanced services, including VoIP, high speed internet and IPTV.
