IPTV arrives for Saudi broadband users

3 Aug 2010

Saudi Telecommunications Company (STC), the incumbent PSTN operator in Saudi Arabia, has launched commercial IPTV services over its xDSL network in the Kingdom’s capital Riyadh and two other large cities, Jedda and Dammam. The ‘InVision’ package includes broadband-delivered subscription TV channels alongside a free-to-air line-up, video-on-demand (VoD) content, a catch-up TV facility, programme recording and other interactive features. As an initial promotion to coincide with the Ramadan period, STC is offering a month’s IPTV subscription free of charge.
