Thailand’s five major cellcos have formed a joint venture to set up a clearing house for mobile number portability (MNP), reports Reuters, as the country gears up to begin implementing the service next month. The five are Advanced Info Service (AIS), Digital Total Access Communication (DTAC), True Move, and the state-owned duo TOT and CAT Telecom, which will each own 20% in the newly formed Clearing House for Number Portability Co, following a proposal by the regulator, the National Telecommunications Commission (NTC).
