SingTel picks Juniper EX4200 Ethernet switches

Juniper Networks says Singapore Telecommunications (SingTel) has successfully deployed its EX4200 Ethernet switches at points of presence (POP) across the region. The vendor says the new switches, which run on its Junos operating system, are capable of supporting SingTel’s Carrier Ethernet suite, which includes international services such as ConnectPlus Ethernet Line (E-Line), ConnectPlus Ethernet Virtual Private Network (E-VPN), ConnectPlus Ethernet Virtual Private Line (E-VPL), and local services such as MetroEthernet and Meg@POP suite of Ethernet services including E-VPN and E-VPL. In addition, SingTel has also deployed Juniper Networks’ M Series Multiservice Edge Routers in its POPs. No financial details were disclosed.
