Malaysian cellco Maxis has conducted an LTE trial after collaborating with Alcatel-Lucent and Huawei. The company says it achieved peak download speeds of between 60Mbps and 104Mbps, and that it plans to carry out further testing in July ahead of a 2.6GHz spectrum auction next year. In 2011 the government is expected to put on sale two 70MHz blocks at 2.6GHz and one 50MHz block.
