14 Jun 2010

Globe Telecom of the Philippines says its broadband revenues in the first three months of this year climbed 84% year-on-year to PHP1.2 billion (USD25.9 million), while its fixed line data revenues climbed a respectable 16% to PHP831 million. Moreover, the telco said that strong demand for outsourcing services helped sustain growth at the operator’s corporate data services division Globe Business. Commenting on the strong performance Gil B Genio, Head of Globe Business, said: ‘We hope to maintain the gains we have achieved in the enterprise market by focusing on the needs of our customers and continuously investing in our network. Enterprise customers value premium service and require more capacity and quality network services … We continue to serve the growing demand of the BPOs especially for corporate data services as we bring more bandwidth and faster connections to enterprise customers.’
