BSkyB signs major voice and data deal with Magnet Networks

18 May 2010

Easynet, the international operating arm of BSkyB, has signed a fully managed voice and data services partnership deal with Irish xDSL and fibre-optic provider Magnet networks, SiliconRepublic reports. Under the deal, the Irish altnet will provide businesses in the Republic with fully managed services to help them reduce cost inefficiencies, improve network coverage and trim their supply chain. The partnership deal effectively allows international firms operating in the country to integrate easily with the worldwide Easynet network. Magnet’s Ethernet over DSL coverage is already widely available, while it also has its own optical fibre networks covering Dublin, Galway, Cork, Limerick, Waterford and Portlaoise.
