Deadline for 2.5GHz spectrum auction extended

Colombia’s ICT ministry has pushed back the deadline for those operators interested in the auction of up to 60MHz of spectrum in the 2.5GHz-2.69GHz band by a month until 7 May. According to the ministry, several domestic and international companies have expressed interest in the auction. The ministry’s previously defined timeline stipulates the spectrum award on 9 June; it is not known if this date will also be pushed back.
