20 Apr 2010

Zain Saudi Arabia saw its net loss narrow in the first quarter of 2010 to SAR663 million (USD177 million). The firm, which is 25% owned by Kuwaiti telecoms group Zain, made a net loss of SAR765 million in the first quarter of last year. Zain said the loss had narrowed after it cut costs and more than doubled its customer base compared to the same period of 2009, though it stopped short of giving hard figures.
