Etisalat internet service affected by cable cut

Emirates Telecommunications Corporation (Etisalat) has announced that internet traffic in the UAE has been affected by a cut in the SEA-ME-WE 4 submarine cable. The company said it is working with operators to carry out urgent repairs on the system, which connects Alexandria in Egypt to the French city of Marseilles, to restore services and is re-routing traffic to minimise impact on end-users.
