Boingo Wireless, which claims to have established the world’s largest network of Wi-Fi hotspots, making it easier to get online at more than 125,000 locations in 103 countries worldwide, has further improved its footprint by signing a roaming deal with NTT Communications in Japan. As a result of the deal, Boingo users will be able to take advantage of NTT’s 6,500 hotspots in the country. The operator’s ‘Direct’ Boingo customers can get online at NTT Communications’ Wi-Fi locations immediately, whereas Boingo Platform Service Partners which wholesale Boingo’s global Wi-Fi access products, and their customers, will gain access in the near future, it said in a press release.
