Alvarion brings wireless broadband to 90 cities

Israeli equipment vendor Alvarion has announced in a company statement that it has connected 90 cities in Brazil with wireless broadband using 2.4GHz, 5.4GHz and 5.8GHz frequencies. The network supports community services including free internet access, e-healthcare for medical centres and e-government services. Latin America represented 12% of Alvarion’s revenues in 2009.
