TeliaSonera and Cisco sign cloud computing deal

Scandinavian telco TeliaSonera has signed a deal with Cisco to jointly offer cloud computing services for business customers in Sweden under the banner ‘Business Class Cloud Services’. The new range will include virtual conferencing services allowing users to join online meetings on mobile handsets, share documents and replay conferences on demand. TeliaSonera noted that the financial downturn boosted demand for cost-efficient solutions amongst businesses, driving rapid take-up of cloud computing, which gives on-demand access to applications and services over the internet, with customers charged only for the capacity used.
