SingTel, Ericsson kick off LTE trials

SingTel Mobile and Ericsson of Sweden have launched preliminary trials of Long Term Evolution (LTE) mobile technology at the operator’s Comcentre headquarters and say upgrade work on the national network will be completed in phases over the next one to two years. Commercial deployment will again be phased in and will be dependent upon the availability of both frequency spectrum and LTE-ready handsets.
