AT&T outlines Puerto Rico spending plans

AT&T plans to spend USD84 million on deploying 105 new cell sites to increase 3G capacity in Puerto Rico, reports BNamericas citing local daily El Vocero. AT&T Puerto Rico’s CEO Jose Juan Davila was quoted as saying that the investment is part of the consolidation of Centennial Communications, which is due to be completed by the end of the second quarter. Davila added that he estimates there are a combined 1.1 million subscribers on the networks of Centennial and AT&T in Puerto Rico.
