Indonesia’s dominant telecoms group PT Telkom is reportedly conducting due diligence on a plan to acquire 12,000 telecoms towers from rival operator PT Indosat, local newspaper Bisnis Indonesia quotes an unnamed source as saying. The deal could be worth up to IDR3 trillion (USD327 million) and if realised, the management of the towers would pass to Telkom subsidiary PT Dayamitra Telekomunikasi, the source said.
