T-2 nears sale

5 Mar 2010

Slovenian newspaper Dnevnik reports that local broadband operator T-2, which fell into debt troubles last year, is nearing an agreement for the restructuring of its ownership. Whilst several minority shareholders of the Maribor-based company have already withdrawn from its ownership structure, current majority owner Zvon Ena Holding indicated at the start of this year that it will negotiate to take full control of the telco. Chairman of T-2’s board, Uros Rozic, said that fewer owners will lead to easier negotiations, whilst another unnamed source said that the fate of the planned takeover should be known within a week. If the sale does go ahead, reports say it would be completed in the second half of 2010.
