FT to increase networks access fees

2 Feb 2010

Dow Jones Newswires reports that French incumbent France Telecom (FT) plans to raise monthly line rental fees for operators accessing its networks by EUR1 (USD1.39), although the regulator Arcep is currently assessing its proposal. The move would affect operators such as SFR (including neuf Cegetel) and Iliad (Free), both of which use its networks for broadband services. La Tribune reports that Arcep will meet with members of the government to examine the issue in the coming days.
