Orange France ups HSDPA speeds to 14.4Mbps

Orange France is upgrading its HSDPA networks, doubling download connection speeds from 7.2Mbps to 14.4Mbps. Initially, the upgrade will focus on improving data transfer in Paris and its La Defense business district, with work to commence this month. Telecompaper notes that the upgrade will then be extended to Bordeaux, Gernoble, Lens, Lille, Lyon, Marseille, Nantes, Nice, Strasbourg, Toulon and Toulouse in the first and second half of the year.
