25 Jan 2010

PT Telekomunikasi Indonesia (Telkom) is setting aside more than IDR1 trillion (USD107.5 million) in 2010 to purchase at least three IT and/or media companies in 2010. The telco said it would also assess any rival telecoms operators that are put up for sale. Telkom president Rinaldi Firmansyah says he hopes any purchases will boost the company’s revenues as it looks to expand into new sectors such as selling internet services and applications.
