Indonesia’s GoMobile, which describes itself as a pioneer of mobile base marketing in the country, providing a combination of mobile broadcast media, mobile marketing services, and rewards in one single solution, has launched its latest cellular-based service – Mobile Advantage (MAD). The service delivers news broadcasts and advertisements in the form of running text, it said in a press release. GoMobile president Director Bobby Arthawan is confident of signing up a million registered users by the end of 2010. ‘From the customers’ point of view, a MAD service user will have to spend about IDR12,000 to IDR18,000 (USD1.30 to USD1.95) every month. Double credit return is the benefit offered by GoMobile,’ he added. Operators which use GoMobile’s services include the three biggest players, Telkomsel, Indosat and XL Axiata.
