Cogeco reaches 300k fixed telephony users

Canadian cableco Cogeco has announced that its total of local telephony subscribers grew by 27% in twelve months to 302,249 by the end of its fiscal first quarter on 30 November 2009. The company, which delivers cable television, internet and cable telephone service in Quebec and Ontario, said that by end-November over 90% of 1.57 million homes passed by its cable network were able to receive telephony services, up from 87% on 30 November 2008.
