Beeline extends 3G coverage

Armenian mobile operator ArmenTel (Beeline), a subsidiary of Russian mobile group Vimpelcom has increased its 3G footprint in the country to the cities of Gyumri, Vanadzor, Etchmiadzin and Abovyan, the company’s press service informed ArmenTel General Manager Igor Klimko went on to say: ‘As the need arises, our company will further increase its 3G capacity in [the capital] Yerevan and the cities where it is technically possible, simultaneously expanding its geography in other regions of Armenia. Thus, by 2010 end we plan to triple the total number of 3G base stations.’
