Argentine cable TV operator Supercanal plans to launch triple-play services in at least seven cities across the country this year, BNamericas reports, citing company commercial manager Leandro Lagos. The company already provides the service in the provinces of Mendoza, San Juan, Tucuman and Santa Fe, but hopes to expand the offering to all cities where it has a presence, including Comodoro Rivadavia in Chubut province and Viedma in Rio Negro province. Supercanal is in the process of digitising its network, and currently has around 450,000 pay TV subscribers nationwide, 10,000 digital TV users and 5,000 triple-play customers. Lagos also revealed that the company already offers digital services in Mendoza and expects to launch the offering in the provinces of San Juan and Santiago del Estero in the short term; the company expects to end 2010 with approximately 30,000 digital TV clients nationwide. Supercanal currently has operations in Tucuman, Catamarca, Santiago del Estero, Santa Fe, La Rioja, San Juan, Cordoba, San Luis, Neuquen, Rio Negro, Chubut, Santa Cruz and Tierra del Fuego provinces.
