6 Jan 2010

T-Mobile USA has announced that it has completed the rollout of HSPA 7.2 technology across its entire network footprint, covering around 200 million people with the standard, which can theoretically provide peak downlink speeds of 7.2Mbps. As reported by CommsUpdate on 15 September 2009, company CTO Cole Brodman revealed that T-Mobile would follow the deployment of HSPA 7.2 with an immediate rollout of the HSPA+ standard, which could further boost downlink speeds to up to 21Mbps. The company is currently conducting a HSPA+ trial in Philadelphia.
