Hungary’s telecoms watchdog the National Communications Authority (NHH) said the number of active mobile phone subscriptions in the country grew by 66,000 to 10.712 million last month, but noted that the total figure was 59,000 lower than at 30 November 2008. The NHH reported too that total subscriptions have been falling since the start of this year, and fell 9,000 last month to 11.687 million. In terms of market share (active subscribers), Vodafone Hungary’s share rose to 22.27% in November from 22.16% in October, while T-Mobile Hungary’s share fell to 44.64% from 44.71% last month, and Pannon’s share dipped to 33.08% in November from 33.13%.
