B.net Croatia says 2009 results exceeded expectations

B.net, Croatia’s largest cable network operator in terms of coverage and subscribers, has announced preliminary financial estimates for the full year 2009, showing that its revenues reached around HRK153.3 million (USD30.6 million), up 33.9% compared to 2008 and exceeding its forecast by 10.5%. The triple-play service provider said its EBITDA margin rose from 6% in 2008 to around 12% in 2009. B.net Croatia, owned by Austria’s Burgenlandische Elektrizitatswirtschafts (Bewag), operates a high speed cable network passing 254,000 households, 105,000 of which currently use one or more of its TV, internet and voice services.
