1 Dec 2009

Croatian cellco VIPnet has announced that it has expanded its mobile broadband HSPA+ network to the city of Osijek. The Austrian-backed mobile operator said that the city is the first to be ‘fully covered’ by its HSPA+ upgrades, providing users with theoretical maximum download speeds of up to 21Mbps. VIPnet began rolling out HSPA+ in the 2100MHz frequency range in the second quarter of 2009, under a plan to concentrate on major cities initially.
