Svyazinvest tariff hike approved

Russia’s Federal Tariff Service has approved proposed price rises for local and intrazonal fixed line services provided by VolgaTelecom, South Telecom, and Dagsvyazinform, subsidiaries of media conglomerate Svyazinvest, Prime-Tass reports. All three operators, which are the leading fixed line carriers in their respective regions, have received permission to raise tariffs for local and intrazonal services by no more than 10%. Furthermore, the regulator approved a similar tariff increase by Tattelecom, Bashinformsvyaz and several local operators in the Volga Federal District.
