HanseNet introduces VDSL bundles

5 Nov 2009

German broadband operator HanseNet has announced the launch of a VDSL service offering internet speeds of up to 50Mbps download and 10Mbps upload. The Telecom Italia (TI) subsidiary has introduced two new packages – Alice Fun Speed at EUR44.90 (USD66.13) per month and Alice Comfort Speed at EUR54.90 – which combine telephone and VDSL connections, including unlimited internet access and a flat-rate for calls to the German fixed network. The new VDSL products are also available without a minimum contract for a connection fee of EUR99.90. As reported by CommsUpdate earlier this week, Spanish telecoms giant Telefonica is close to finalising a deal with TI to buy its German broadband division for EUR900 million-EUR1 billion.
