Videotron deploys DragonWave solution for HSPA backhauling

Quebec-based cableco Videotron, which is currently rolling out its own HSPA-based mobile network, has chosen to deploy DragonWave’s Horizon Compact high capacity packet microwave backhaul solution to support its advanced wireless services. Horizon Compact is an Ethernet-based product capable of delivering scalable backhaul capacity from 10Mbps to 800Mbps, with a full suite of network management options. Regarding reliability, DragonWave claims the solution offers 99.999% service availability in next generation IP networks.
