4 Nov 2009

Huawei and Polish telco Sferia have announced the launch of what they claim to be the world’s first High Speed Packet Access Evolution (HSPA+) network in the 900MHz band, for Aero2, Poland’s newest wireless licensee. The new HSPA+ network, with lower latency and higher speeds, will allow Aero2 to offer mobile broadband services at downlink peak data rates of up to 21.6Mbps. ‘Using Huawei’s leading HSPA+ solution in our cellular network, Aero2 is confident that we will retain our competitive position in the Polish telecommunications market,’ said Adam Kurianski, President of Aero2. ‘With the new network, our customers will be able to enjoy advanced multimedia and entertainment services in a cost-effective way.’
