Vodafone daughter reaches Qatar quarter

Vodafone Qatar, which launched as the country’s second mobile operator at the start of July, has announced that it has reached 250,000 active subscribers, a figure which it says exceeded its expectations. Last month, the UK-backed company said it had achieved 99% population coverage with its GSM-based network, and predicted comfortably capturing over 40% market share within ten years from incumbent operator Qatar Telecom.
