Telkom trims 2010 CAPEX target to USD2bn

15 Oct 2009

Indonesia’s dominant telecoms group PT Telekomunikasi Indonesia (Telkom) says its 2010 CAPEX budget will most likely be lower than the capital expenditure for the current fiscal year, at USD2 billion. The group’s financial director Sudiro Asno confirmed the plan, adding that Telkom intends to finance its 2010 investment through a combination of internal and external funds. The operator has set aside 65% of the total CAPEX next year to develop Telkomsel’s mobile networks and services, 30% for the fixed line division and 5% for other subsidiaries.
