ER Telecom: One million subscribers by year-end

Russian triple-play operator ER Telecom has predicted that it will have over one million broadband subscribers by the end of the year. The Perm-based company currently has 800,000 broadband customers, having added over 202,000 subscriptions since the end of 2008. ER Telecom’s networks pass 3.08 million homes in 17 Russian cities: Perm, Chelyabinsk, Izhevsk, Kazan, Kirov, Naberezhnie Chelny, Nizhnekamsk, Nizhniy Novgorod, Novosibirsk, Omsk, Orenburg, Penza, Samara, Tyumen, Volgograd, Volzhsky and Yoshkar-Ola. At the end of June 2009 the firm had 890,000 cable TV subscribers and 65,000 fixed line telephony customers.
