Primus increases MVNO footprint, expands data range via Rogers deal

Canadian telecoms services reseller Primus has signed a deal with nationwide mobile operator Rogers Communications to increase its mobile virtual network operator (MVNO) coverage area to 94% of Canada’s population by spring 2010. Under the new agreement, Primus will offer customers enhanced voice and text packages, expanded wireless data functionality, smartphones, and features such as picture messaging, web browsing and ring tone alternatives. Primus, a prominent reseller in the long-distance market, has offered MVNO services since 2004.
