Rogers to merge cable and wireless units

17 Sep 2009

Rogers Communications plans to further integrate its cable and wireless operations, as well as creating a separate group to focus on emerging business, reports Associated Press. The company said the restructuring is designed to prioritise growth, customer experience, getting products in the market sooner and reducing costs. ‘The changes are in response to fundamental changes in the market’ as the lines between the cable and wireless businesses blur, CEO Nadir Mohamed said on a conference call.
