Optima Telekom to launch IPTV next month

Alternative fixed line telephony provider Optima Telekom will launch a digital television service named OptiTV on 1 October, writes Broadband TV News. Opti.TV will offer viewers up to 70 TV channels and will be available in five triple-play packages, costing betweem HRK231.87 (USD46.2) to HRK292.36 a month, with HBO and Cinemax channels available at an additional cost.

There are currently three IPTV services operating in Croatia – Iskon.tv, Metronet and MAXtv – with the latter, owned by the incumbent telco HT. MAXtv claimed 171,591 subscribers at the end of June.
