More bids for Telecom Italia's stake in Telecom Argentina parent

La Nacion reports that Telecom Italia has received two more bids for its 50% stake in the controlling company of Telecom Argentina, Sofora. The local newspaper identifies the bidders as private equity outfit Pegasus Group and triple-play operator TeleCentro. A number of bids for the stake – valued in the region of USD500 million – have previously been lodged, including one from Mexican billionaire Carlos Slim.
