The government of Uruguay has launched a pilot triple-play service in Trinidad city, reports BNamericas. State-owned telco Antel and local pay-TV operator Trinidad Video Cable are to work together in offering a fixed telephony, broadband and cable TV service costing UYP300 (USD13.4) per month. The move is the first stage of a government connectivity plan dubbed Plan Cardales, the ultimate goal of which is to provide triple-play services to approximately 800,000 people.
