Tele2 to improve indoor coverage with ip.access picocell across Europe

Sweden-based telecoms group Tele2 has chosen picocell technology from indoor wireless solution provider ip.access for deployments across its European subsidiaries, according to a release on the vendor’s website. The rollout of ip.access’ naoBTS picocell technology is aimed at improving enterprise customers’ indoor mobile coverage. Vice-president of Europe, Middle East and African sales at ip.access, Jamie Cave, explained that the technology has been designed to ‘improve network coverage and capacity levels,’ adding that ‘Our agreement with Tele2 demonstrates the ongoing demand for our 2G picocell technology worldwide and underlines ip.access as a market leader and innovator of cellular-over-IP solutions for mobile operators.’
