Utilities confirm plan to exit Polkomtel

Polish utility PGE hopes to sell its 22.8% stake in Polish cellco Polkomtel, joining refiner PKN in plans to unload its stake. The most likely buyer is Vodafone, which currently owns 24.4% of the company. According to TeleGeography’s GlobalComms database, Polkomtel’s other shareholders include KGHM (24.4%) and Weglokoks (4%).
