13 Aug 2009

Indonesia’s second largest telco PT Indosat has revealed plans to issue rupiah-denominated bonds in the fourth quarter of 2009, Antara News reports. ‘The plan for the issuance of bonds is still being processed. It still has to be adjusted to the company’s refinancing needs,’ Indosat president Harry Sasongko is quoted as saying. The operator is understood to be in the evaluation phase and all funding options are being considered. Mr Sasongko added the company had yet to set the value of the bonds as it is keen to assess market interest to them. Indosat has allocated USD600 million for CAPEX this year.
