Cisco deploys content services gateway for T-Mobile Hungary

25 Jun 2009

Cisco Systems has deployed its Cisco Content Services Gateway-2nd Generation, (CSG2) for Hungarian mobile operator T-Mobile Hungary, allowing the cellco to offer more personalised mobile applications across its network. The CSG2 platform is based on a Service and Application Module for IP (SAMI) line card for the Cisco 7600 Series router and provides advanced processing of IP flows for content-aware billing, filtering, management and analysis in a fault-tolerant package, Cisco said. The new content services gateway is capable of handling hundreds of thousands of active mobile users and can process in excess of one million simultaneous connections and 10GB of data per second.
